WFH or Working from home

WFH or Working from home:

I’ve worked from home for years and collaborated with virtual teams worldwide. Here are my #workingfromhome rules:

1. Start your day by clearing your mind or practice meditation.
2. Plan and time block your day religiously
3. Dedicate one of those blocks to self-training (reading, news, online training etc.) for one hour - an hour a day of self-training will make you a master of your subject in 5 years (I heard)
4. Listen to mystical meditative music, no joke, it gets you in the zone for deep work
5. Have something to raise your laptop up so you can fashion a standing desk and alternate from sitting
6. Avoid TV like the plague, except when you have lunch
7. Never eat and work at the same time - stay focus on one task at a time
8. Embrace Hangouts and video calls. You get used to them real quick
9. Step away from the screen once every hour
10. This last one is very important: seize the day working at home and schedule in a disco nap for 20-45 mins around 2pm. Naps are SO worth it even if you have slept well the night before.
